BulletImportant Reminders for your Debit Card...

  • Always protect your USECU Visa® Debit Card & Personal Identification Number (PIN) as you would cash, checks, and credit cards.
  • DO NOT keep your PIN with your USECU VISA® Debit Card and always keep it confidential!
  • Keep your receipts when making purchases & ATM transactions and record them in your check register as soon as possible.
  • You may make point-of-sale purchases up to the available balance in your checking account. Transactions in excess of the available balance may be declined. Four overdraft protection options are available.
  • Remember your USECU VISA® Debit Card is NOT a Credit Card. VISA® Debit Card transactions are automatically withdrawn from your checking account.
  • When traveling out of the country notify USECU beforehand. In an effort to prevent fraud, VISA® monitors card activity and spending habits of every cardholder. If your card is used out of the country or out of your normal shopping pattern, Risk Management will attempt to contact you to verify that you are actually performing the transactions. If they are unable to reach you, they may place a temporary hold on your account, in an effort to stop fraudulent activity. By notifying USECU, Risk Management will have a record of your travels and will know that you are personally using your card in a foreign country.
